This intense, multi-layered wine delivers aromas of honey suckle, jasmine, toasted almonds, and some hints of lemon zest. In the mouth, those are complemented by notes of white peach and a touch of flintiness on the finish. A careful aging for 20 months in French neutral barrels gives this Chardonnay an exceptional balance between fat and acidity. The wine is unctuous, yet lively. The complex, matured flavors, broad palate, silky structure and length of this wine are a reminder of a Meursault in a ripe vintage. This wine can be cellared for up to 8 years and paired with rich white fish or seafood (think lobster!) or veal in a creamy white sauce.
Aged in neutral French oak barrels for 20 months to enhance the broadness on the palate, this wine was produced with Burgundy in mind – reflecting the lower alcohol, higher acidity style appreciated by both foodies and Francophiles, alike.
