La Linea Furioso Chardonnay

2015

As Furioso Vineyards’ Chardonnay grapes were not yet ready for production, we sourced fruit from the Terry Family Vineyard and the Lazy River Vineyard.

The Terry Family Vineyard is approximately 4 miles northwest of Carlton, Oregon at an elevation of roughly 400 feet. The Lazy River Vineyard is northwest of Yamhill, Oregon on the slope of Mt. Richmond at an elevation of 370 feet.

The wine was aged in neutral French oak barrels for 20 months to enhance the broadness on the palate. Produced with Burgundy in mind, this wine reflects the lower alcohol, higher acidity style appreciated by both foodies and Francophiles.

Wine Press Northwest: Outstanding! “Dominique Mahé and Jared Etzel have this young project in Dundee, Ore., tracking marvelously for Giorgio Furioso. The 20 months in neutral French oak lead to aromas of mint, tamarind and tropical notes. Delicious flavors of lemon curd pick up pineapple and melon for a pleasingly crisp finish from just the second vintage by this team.”
